Mary Root

Mary Root peacefully passed away on May 10, 2014 at her home in Fallbrook, Calif. She was born May 9, 1923 in Cambridge, Mass. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Lawrence Root. There was a Catholic graveside service on Thursday, May 15 at the Fallbrook Masonic Cemetery. She is survived by her 10 children and 14 grandchildren.

Upon moving to California in 1942, she worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad for many years before raising her family in Alhambra, La Habra and Fallbrook, where she moved in 1973. After raising her family, she worked at Fallbrook Hospital.
