Vallecitos students run for fun and fitness

The second graders at Vallecitos School learned more than math and reading this year and that extra education came on the school’s track. Their teacher, Wayne Tortorella, continued his Commit to be Fit program but with some changes as he had been teaching third grade before this year.

The school in Rainbow does not have a physical education teacher and most of the teachers do not have a fitness background. So, Tortorella’s students have the track to themselves most of the time each school year.
