Art association members win awards at fair

FALLBROOK – Sixteen members of the Fallbrook Art Association (FAA) were selected to exhibit their works in the fine art show at the San Diego County Fair. Four members received awards.

Jack Ragland received a first place award for his acrylic cityscape painting “Flags of San Marcos.” Kathy Klein received a third place for her work “Night and Day” in the printmaking category. Shirley Calvert was given a third place for her oil cityscape painting “Umbrellas.”

Susan Keith was the winner of four awards. She received a first place and third place in the watercolor still life and floral category for “Peek-A-Boo Shadows” and “Coneflowers,” respectively. Keith also received a first place for her watercolor landscape “Sunflower Fields Forever” and a third place for her painting “Mama Dove Waits Patiently” in the watercolor animal category.

Other FAA artists who were selected to exhibit their works were Karen Langer Baker, Pattie Bowler, Debbie Forbes, Helen Schafer Garcia, Patricia Hartman, Niki Hilsabeck, Peg Klinger, Patricia Sablac Korzec, Rosemarie Meis, Anita Plaks, Marilee Ragland, and Richard Wynne.
