"New friend" very thoughtful

After church on Father’s Day, five of us went to lunch at Z Café in Bonsall. While waiting for our table, one of our friends began talking to the young man he was sitting next to. Our friend was at the Battle of the Bulge in WWII.

When we were seated near them in the restaurant, some of the conversation continued. When it came time to pay our bill the waitress said that our “new friend” had already taken care of it. She showed us the bill and on it was written, “Thanks for your service in WWII - God bless.” The waitress thought his name was Pete; anyway thank you so much. God bless you.
