Art in Public Places to add new piece of public art to historic downtown Fallbrook

FALLBROOK - On Friday, August 8, at 6 p.m. Fallbrook Art in Public Places will unveil a new sculpture in front of the Fallbrook Art Center, 103 S. Main Ave. during the Summer Nights event. “Spires,” created by artist Melissa Ralston, of Escondido, and is part of the organizations “art on loan” program.

The colors and structure of the piece give it a contemporary feel and add a new dimension to the front of the art center. Ralston said she had the idea for the sculpture for some time and “just needed to find the right place for it.”
