The San Diego County Board of Supervisors authorized the advertisement for bid and subsequent award of a construction contract to install centerline rumble strips on five county-maintained roads including Mission Road, Olive Hill Road, and Reche Road.
The supervisors’ 5-0 vote Aug. 6 also established $255,000 of appropriations for the project. A federally-funded Highway Safety Improvement Program grant will account for $200,376 of the budgeted expenses while a balance in the county’s road fund will provide the other $54,624.
