County to replace paging system

The software and hardware controller for the County of San Diego’s paging system operated by the Sheriff’s Department and also used by other public safety agencies will be replaced.

A 5-0 San Diego County Board of Supervisors vote Aug. 5 approved a sole-source procurement of a new controller with Prism Paging Systems, LLC. The authorization directs the director of the county’s Department of Purchasing and Contracting to enter into negotiations with Prism Paging Systems, LLC, and to award a contract contingent upon successful negotiations and determination of a fair and reasonable price.
