Man crashes into four vehicles, hits pedestrian

A man who crashed his vehicle on Tues., Sept. 9 near the Albertsons store in Fallbrook damaged four other vehicles and injured a pedestrian.

According to California Highway Patrol (CHP) public information officer Jim Bettencourt, the report concerning the accident has not been completed and only partial information is available at this time.

"A male resident of Fallbrook, driving a 1994 Chrysler Town and Country mini van, caused the crash at 11:40 a.m. that morning at 1133 S. Mission Road, 52 feet north of Ammunition Road," said Bettencourt. "He ended up crashing into four other separate vehicles and a pedestrian."

Shoppers inside the Albertsons store reported that announcements were being made over the loud speaker system in an attempt to locate the owners' of the damaged vehicles.

Bettencourt said the pedestrian that was injured was a Fallbrook man (born in 1958), who complained of pain to his knee.

"He elected to seek his own medical treatment if necessary," said Bettencourt. "No one else was injured."
