BWC to learn about plant-based meals

BONSALL – The Bonsall Woman’s Club (BWC) will meet on Thursday, Oct. 2 and hear a program by Karen Houghton, RN, BSN, of Naturally Gourmet. Houghton’s presentation will feature simple plant based recipes that are healthy and delicious as she teaches healthy cooking. Her cookbook will be available for sale at the meeting.

The BWC meets at Pala Mesa Resort, located at 2001 Old Highway 395, Fallbrook. The doors open at 9 a.m. with coffee and tea. The program starts at 10 a.m. The meal choices are Half Turkey and Swiss Cheese Sandwich with Avocado and a House Salad or a Cheese Enchilada with Refried Beans and Sour Cream. Both meals will be accompanied by a Chocolate Brownie for Dessert. The cost of the meal is $17 which includes tax and tip.
