Construction work on Newport Road continues this weekend

MENIFEE – Pre-construction work on the Interstate 215/Newport Road Interchange Project continues this weekend.

In preparation for upcoming pavement trenching on Newport Road, Riverside County crews will be replacing the underground signal loops that trigger traffic lights with video detection cameras that are mounted on the traffic signal.

Work will begin on Saturday morning at 4 am. East and westbound lane closures on Newport Road from Antelope to Haun roads will be in effect until 1 pm on Saturday, and possibly on Sunday from 4 am until 1 pm if work is not completed on Saturday.
