Canadian man killed on Interstate 5 after vehicle he was riding in was struck by 24-year-old from Camp Pendleton

A Canadian man was killed when a 24-year-old from Camp Pendleton failed to stop in the line at the San Onofre checkpoint on Interstate 5 last night.

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), on Tuesday, September 23, at approximately 6:03 p.m., an unidentified adult male was driving a 2014 BMW with two adult male passengers, northbound on Interstate 5 in the #1 lane; he was at a complete stop waiting to go through the Border Patrol Checkpoint.
