UPDATE: Brush fire on Camp Pendleton involves 5 acres; poses no threat Base says

CAMP PENDLETON - The small brush fire that started on Ranges 217 and 219 yesterday, Thurs., October 2 on Camp Pendleton is currently still burning at approximately five acres and poses no threat to surrounding buildings and structures. Smoke from the fire may be visible from Riverside, Orange, and San Diego counties.

The Camp Pendleton Fire Department is monitoring the fire.

Fire on Camp Pendleton sends smoke into Fallbrook

FALLBROOK - Fallbrook residents are seeing light amounts of smoke from a fire that has been said to be "deep in Camp Pendleton." According to North County Fire, there is no threat to Fallbrook at this time.
