Capt. Henry Eugene Davies

Capt. Henry Eugene Davies, USN, Ret., 92, passed away, Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at his home in Fallbrook, Calif. Henry was born May 12, 1922 to Henry and Kathryn (Ross) Davies in Flushing, N.Y., the oldest of three children. He graduated from Yale University in 1946 and Naval Post-Graduate School in 1962.

Henry joined the United States Navy in February 1943 and served until August 1975. During the Korean Conflict, he was awarded the Silver Star and Presidential Unit Citation for actions as Executive Officer of the USS Pirate (AM-275), which was lost during minesweeping operations in Wonsan...
