Health Officer: County Is Taking 'Proactive' Steps to Prepare for Ebola

RIVERSIDE - If and when an Ebola case surfaces in Riverside County, area medical facilities will have the expertise and resources in place to contend with it, county Health Officer Dr. Cameron Kaiser said today.

''We're being proactive. We've been running drills in emergency rooms to make sure people are following protocols. We're going to do more,'' Kaiser said. ''There's always room for improvement. But we want people to get it right and do it right the first time. We don't want a situation that develops like what happened in Texas.''
