FALLBROOK – The holiday spirit is already in full swing at the Fallbrook Historical Society as volunteers begin preparations for the fourth annual Old-Fashioned Christmas Open House on Saturday, Dec. 13 at the museum compound.
The festive celebration will offer many free activities for children and their families, including an opportunity to tour all the museum buildings and enjoy listening to Christmas carols.
Kids will be able to make arts and crafts decorations to take home and put on the family’s Christmas tree, and decorate gingerbread cookies.
The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The official Christmas tree lighting ceremony, with the beautiful voices of the Fallbrook High School Madrigals will take place at 12:30 p.m. when Santa arrives. Santa and the Madrigals will be available to visit with everyone from 1 to 2 p.m.
Free refreshments will also be offered, including hot chocolate, sugar cookies, and coffee.
