Gusty Santa Ana winds expected to heighten fire risk in San Diego County

Gusty Santa Ana forecast for parts of San Diego County were expected to combine with warmer temperatures and low humidity to up the risk for wildfires early this week.

A National Weather Service fire weather watch for the mountains and inland valleys was set to go into effect late tonight and extend through Tuesday afternoon. A high wind warning was set to remain in effect from 4 p.m. Monday to noon Wednesday.
