Home destroyed in DeLuz fire, one treated

FALLBROOK - A fire destroyed a house and scorched a quarter-acre of land next to it in the community of De Luz outside Fallbrook, a Cal Fire battalion chief said today.

The fire was reported at 6:26 p.m. at a house on a ridge in the 39200 block of De Luz Road, one block from the fire station, said Cal Fire Battalion Chief Nick Schuler.
