The Rainbow Municipal Water District adopted an ordinance which implements water conservation requirements for new development.
The Rainbow board’s 5-0 vote Nov. 18 adds an Administrative Code section which requires that new developments adhere to a water conservation policy with provisions including high-efficiency fixtures, low water use plants for non-recreational facilities, and installation of dual-distribution pipeline systems to enable both potable and recycled water where feasible.
