Students bring holiday cheer to Fallbrook's gold citizens

FALLBROOK – The students of Live Oak Elementary School’s after-school journalism and service project class recently developed a grand idea to bring small presents, letters, and crafts to a local retirement home.

The students leading the service project then launched an advertising campaign to encourage other members of the Live Oak School community to contribute their efforts to the project.

The culminating activity will be a visit to a local retirement center to bring the collections of gifts and cards and share caring and conversation.

“It’s a wonderful way for the youth of Live Oak Elementary to give back to those who have given so much in the past,” said Lianne, one of the group’s student leaders.
