OCEANSIDE - Oceanside police sought the public's help today to locate a shooting victim who flagged down a motorist near Camp Pendleton, but drove off as he was calling for help.
The victim, only described as an Asian man, summoned Emmanuel Patino as both were driving toward each other in the 500 block of Gold Drive near Vandergrift Boulevard around 11:40 p.m. Tuesday, Oceanside police Lt. Leonard Cosby said.
