DUI checkpoints, targeted patrols planned for Super Bowl Sunday

RIVERSIDE - Football fans planning to take part in Super Bowl Sunday celebrations need to remember that it's "game over" for anyone caught drinking and driving, authorities said today.

"Drunk driving is completely preventable," said Riverside police Sgt. Robert Tipre. "All it takes is a little planning. We want fans to remember that it's a choice -- drink or drive, but never do both."
