County retains aerial surveyor for short-notice projects

RIVERSIDE (CNS) - The Board of Supervisors today approved a contract with a Riverside-based surveyor to provide on-call aerial mapping services to speed up the completion of county transportation projects.

“This will provide high-level detail for mapping that goes directly into road design,” said county Department of Transportation Director Juan Perez. “Having this company allows us the flexibility to take aerial views without having to wait for (approval to obtain) a commercial vendor to take photos on short notice.”
