SR 71 Blackbird pilot gives talk

FALLBROOK – Standing room only was the situation in Fallbrook Library’s community room on Jan. 28 when retired Air Force pilot Lt. Col. Rod Dyckman spoke to an audience of over 225 people. The event was sponsored by the Fallbrook Vintage Car Club.

Dyckman, noted for his skills in piloting the record breaking SR 71 Spy Plane, presented a slide show talk which covered his years of flying the high speed, high altitude, reconnaissance plane on missions during the Cold War.
