SAN DIEGO – The San Diego County Board of Supervisors voted Tuesday to take steps toward implementing Laura’s Law, which allows counties to seek court-ordered outpatient treatment for people with severe mental illness.
The supervisors directed the Health and Human Services Agency to pull together a multidisciplinary team to develop a plan to provide the services under the mandates of Laura’s Law. The team will report back to the supervisors in 90 days.
