FALLBROOK – The Fallbrook Citizens’ Crime Prevention Committee is sponsoring a free seminar on the dangerous rise of prescription drug abuse, which is one of the nation’s most lethal epidemics. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 25, at Fallbrook Library (community room) from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA) special agent, Rocky Herron, will speak on the latest abused drugs, causes, consequences, and approaches for citizens to take to minimize the risk to them, their family, and the community.
According to the DEA, pain relievers are the most commonly abused prescription drug and the most likely to be involved in overdose incidents.
