Car hits utility pole on Reche Road, travels into ditch

The California Highway Patrol is reporting that a vehicle struck a telephone pole this morning, Friday, March 6, on Reche Road, near Atkins Nursery.

The single vehicle accident that occurred shortly after 8 a.m. involved a Honda CRV, which struck a utility pole between Rabbit Hill and Scooter Lane and then came to rest in a ditch.

Emergency responders said the occupant of the vehicle said no serious injuries had been sustained.

San Diego Gas & Electric has been called to the scene due to damage to the pole....
