Sheriff's deputies arrest four in latest check on known offenders

Deputies and detectives with the Fallbrook Sheriff's substation arrested four individuals yesterday, Thurs., March 5, in the agency's latest check on known offenders residing in the community.

According to Sheriff's Sgt. Patrick Yates, members of the Fallbrook Crime Suppression Team and detectives conducted compliance checks on four specific Fallbrook residents.

" All the compliance checks were done on known offenders and AB-109 (Assembly Bill 109) early release probationers," explained Yates. "Those targeted were identified through crime and intelligence analysis as individuals most likely to re-offend."

As a result, Yates said four suspects were arrested for crimes including: possession of heroin, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of stolen property.

"The stolen property was recovered from a vehicle burglary and a theft from a vehicle that had been committed earlier in the week," said Yates. "At the completion of the compliance checks, deputies conducted directed patrol in the Fallbrook area and contacted 23 more people. Nine field interviews were written on individuals suspected of potential crimes."
