Tryout numbers, youth program experience likely to help success of Warrior boys lacrosse

High school athletic teams may suffer personnel losses due to injuries, academic eligibility, college visits, or other factors. The depth of a team mitigates any losses, and a team with larger numbers also has the ability to rest starters.

Thus even before the Fallbrook High School boys lacrosse team played its first game March 11, coach Paul Morgan was expecting the season to be a success. Practice began Feb. 23, and more than 50 Fallbrook High School boys tried out for the varsity and junior varsity teams.

"It was really awesome. We've been working really hard recruiting," Morgan said.
