BREAKING: Promenade bomb threat was "only shoes," says RCSO

Deputy Albert Martinez with the Riverside County Sheriff's Department has given the all clear following a bomb threat that caused the Promenade Temecula to be evacuated and surrounding roadways to be shut down.

The Riverside County Hazardous Device Team arrived at the Promenade and upon investigation of the suspicious package determined the shoebox contained a pair of shoes.

"Our Hazardous Device Team evaluated the package and they determined that it was a shoebox with some shoes in it in an area that seemed odd which is what drew the attention of the security guards," Martinez said.
