Rowley to depart on 'Flight of Honor'

FALLBROOK – Fallbrook resident and US military veteran Vernon Rowley will take a "Flight of Honor" to Washington, DC on May 1. He will make the trip to visit the World War II Memorial. The trip will be provided by Honor Flight San Diego, a nonprofit organization created solely to honor America's veterans

for their service by flying them at no personal expense to see their memorials.

Stops on the one-day tour include the WWII Memorial, the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Vietnam, Korean, Iwo Jima, Air Force Memorials and the Navy Yard Museum.
