Approximately 1400 runners came out of the starting gate full of energy this morning, Saturday, May 23, when the Avocado Half Marathon and 5K began at Fallbrook's Live Oak Park. See the Village News issue of Thursday, May 28, for more coverage of this event.
According to event organizers, right around 1400 runners participated. In a message to Village News, it was reported at 1400 participating out of 1700, which is right around the average for people not showing up for a run do to injury, sickness, or whatever.
