Unclaimed property tax refunds total $1.3 million in San Diego County

SAN DIEGO - San Diego County Treasurer-Tax Collector Dan McAllister announced today, May 28, his office is searching for individuals who may be entitled to unclaimed property tax refunds totaling nearly $1.3 million.

The Unclaimed Monies list includes refunds to property taxpayers and those who have previously owned property in San Diego County in the past five years. Those who applied for an assessment appeal, previously owned a business and the property associated with it, or sold property through a short sale may be owed refunds.
