Heat advisory in effect through Sunday, June 21

The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory that will remain in effect through Sunday, June 21, at 7 p.m.

According to officials, "High pressure will gradually drift across Southern California bringing a prolonged period of very hot days in the lower deserts. High temperatures will range from 108 to 115 degrees each day. Gradual cooling is expected next week as the high drifts off to to the east."
