U.S. Navy Captain Lisa Mulligan takes charge of Camp Pendleton Naval Hospital

CAMP PENDLETON - Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton is scheduled to get a new leader today, Friday, July 10.

U.S. Navy Capt. Lisa Mulligan is scheduled to succeed Capt. Mark Kobelja during a command-change ceremony at the North County base.

Mulligan was the executive officer -- or second-in-command -- at Naval Medical Center San Diego in Balboa Park for two years. Before that, she was the chief of neurosurgery at the National Naval Medical Center/Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.

Kobelja is moving on to the U.S. Sixth Fleet to serve as the force and fleet surgeon....
