An update provided this morning, Friday, July 17, by Cal Fire states that a wildfire that blackened about 25 acres south of Lake Henshaw and destroyed a home and three outbuildings is now 75 percent contained.
Authorities said the blaze erupted for unknown reasons in rugged terrain off state Route 76, near Morettis Junction in the Santa Ysabel area around 11:30 a.m. Thursday, July 16, according to Cal Fire.
Fire crews halted its spread in about 90 minutes, and no injuries were reported.
