New agricultural ground lease at airpark approved

The County of San Diego approved a new ground lease for 16.4 acres of agricultural land on the Fallbrook Community Airpark property.

A 5-0 San Diego County Board of Supervisors vote June 24 approved a 20-year lease with Air Park Ranch II.

"This is a new 20-year lease for 16.4 acres of non-aviation airpark land that will be used to grow avocados, tangerines, macadamia nuts, persimmons, and dragon fruit," said Supervisor Bill Horn.
