FALLBROOK - A motorhome caught fire this morning, Wed., August 12, on south Interstate 15 in Fallbrook, closing two traffic lanes.
The fire was reported shortly after 11 a.m. near the Mission Road exit.
California Highway Patrol said witnesses could see flames from the back of the older-model motor home.
The driver got out of the vehicle and tried to put out the flames with a fire extinguisher before help arrived, the CHP reported.
The cause of the fire, which gutted the motorhome, was under investigation, the CHP reported....
