Noise levels may increase in the vicinity of Camp Pendleton

CAMP PENDLETON – Artillery units are conducting 24-hour live-fire training exercises that will involve firing on the Whisky and Zulu impact areas, on the northern part of the base on Saturday, Aug. 15. These units will also be training from 6 a.m. to midnight through Monday, Aug. 17.

Depending on atmospheric conditions, the sound of the explosions may be amplified and heard up to 50 miles away.
