Two hurt in head on collision on South Mission

FALLBROOK – A head-on traffic collision was reported at 3:35 p.m. this afternoon, (Thursday, Aug. 27) on South Mission Road, a half mile south of Rocky Crest Road. Witnesses said an elderly lady in a blue Hyundai compact was driving the wrong way and hit a red Ford Focus. The fire department had all lanes blocked at 3:48 p.m. Both drivers were transported to Palomar Hospital with minor injuries.

The #2 lane was opened as of 4:03 p.m.

All lanes were open as of 4:40 p.m.
