St. John’s backpack project benefits even more students

FALLBROOK – A crowd of 350 children and their families came by invitation to a party at the Fallbrook Food Pantry on Aug. 15 to receive new, filled backpacks, a coupon for a pair of shoes from Payless (donated by St. John’s Thrift Shop), a new book, and more.

The event marked the third year that St. John’s Episcopal Church has sponsored this to help young students, children of the families registered with the pantry.
