Warrior girls win year's first Valley League cross-country cluster meet

The North County Conference has replaced cross-country dual league meets with a pair of league cluster meets in which all of the league's teams participate, and Fallbrook's girls won the year's first Valley League cluster meet Oct. 2 at Kit Carson Park in Escondido.

"We're off to a pretty good start," said Fallbrook girls head coach Troy Hamlin. "It was a very dominant performance that we put down."

Cross-country team scores are determined by adding the positions of a team's first five finishers; a school's sixth and seventh finishers are not scored but can add points to other teams' totals. F...
