Tiered beekeeping ordinance approved

The county's tiered beekeeping ordinance was approved Oct. 14 and will take effect Nov. 13.

A 5-0 San Diego County Board of Supervisors vote Sept. 16 approved the introduction and first reading of the ordinance. The second reading and adoption was scheduled for Sept. 30, but the action included appropriations to fund management programs and appropriations not made during the annual budget approval require four votes.
