Privacy protection of photo sharing discussed at SPIE conference

The popularity of sharing photos over the Internet and through mobile phone communication creates some concerns about privacy for those in the photos. SPIE, the international scientific society which focuses on optical science, held its annual meeting Aug. 9 to 13 at the San Diego Convention Center and included an Aug. 13 Compression and Processing Issues session as part of the Applications of Digital Image Processing presentations.
