Robbery suspect leads police on cross-county pursuit, arrested in Riverside

RIVERSIDE - A robbery suspect who led police on a pursuit from Orange County to Riverside today was arrested following a freeway standoff, police said.

The pursuit began in the city of Orange just after midnight, with Orange police officers and the California Highway Patrol chasing a man armed with a shotgun. The man was wanted for robbery in Orange County, as well as a robbery and kidnapping in San Diego County, according to a Riverside police release.
