Fatal big-rig crash on Interstate 5 near Las Pulgas Road

NORTH COUNTY - Authorities are at the scene of a fatal big-rig crash alongside northbound Interstate 5, near Las Pulgas Road in the Camp Pendleton area that occurred shortly before 2 p.m. today, Tues., March 29.

According to the California Highway Patrol traffic center, it appears the death might have stemmed from a medical emergency. All lanes are clear, but traffic is heavy in the area due to the accident.
