St. Peter the Apostle students get firsthand science experience

Mason Mackey, a scientist at USCD, not only provided the students with college level lessons on the human body, but also led them through the dissection of a fetal pig. Students were able to explore the lungs, respiratory system, heart, circulatory components, intestines and other organs of the digestive systems.

The student teams investigated the nervous system, starting with uncovering the brain. Students were so very excited to have this opportunity and couldn't wait until it was their turn again to use the scissors and scalpel. St. Peter the Apostle Catholic School students − future scientists.
