Employment training panel approves over $8.4 million to train 9,100 workers

Approval includes $950,000 for apprenticeship training

SACRAMENTO – The state of California’s Employment Training Panel (ETP) announced the approval of 23 contracts worth more than $8.4 million to train 9,113 workers. One of the contracts approved by the panel includes nearly $950,000 for 470 apprenticeship trainees – including 60 veterans – through the Apprentice and Journeyman Training Trust Fund of Southern California Plumbing and Piping Industry.
