East Vista Way/Gopher Canyon Road intersection to be improved

The San Diego County Board of Supervisors voted 5-0 Aug. 3 to approve the advertisement for bid and subsequent award of a contract for improvements to the intersection of East Vista Way and Gopher Canyon Road.

"I am pleased we're moving ahead with intersection improvement plans," said Supervisor Bill Horn. "I know we all look forward to some traffic relief."

The work will include adding turn lanes, reconstructing the traffic signal, constructing pedestrian ramps, and providing drainage improvements.

"This project will also improve safety and emergency vehicle access," Horn said.
