Governor Brown signs earthquake early warning legislation

SACRAMENTO – On Sept. 29, Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. signed legislation – SB 438 by Senator Jerry Hill (D-San Mateo) – to help advance the development of a statewide earthquake early warning system in California.

“We’ve seen the devastation earthquakes have caused in California,” said Governor Brown. “This keeps us on track to build a statewide warning system that can potentially save lives.”
