Suspect under arrest after five-hour standoff

VISTA (CNS) - An Oceanside man was behind bars today on suspicion of leading law enforcement personnel on a lengthy road chase that culminated with a nearly five-hour standoff, during which he doused himself with gasoline and threatened to set himself ablaze.

Oscar Daniel Cedillo, 34, fled in a black Chevrolet Silverado about 9:30 a.m. Thursday when a deputy contacted him in a neighborhood near Encinitas Ranch Golf Course regarding a report that Cedillo had been loitering suspiciously in the area, according to sheriff's officials.
